Science ASSIST is an innovative national online advisory service for school science educators and technicians and has an expert national advisory team with extensive, collective experience across all school laboratory management and safety. The site includes items such as experiment ideas, demonstrations, videos, worksheets, lesson plans, safety information sheets, Q&A section etc .
Nominations are being called for the Mike Bowles Book Award. Mike Bowles was QEST’s Membership Co-Ordinator for many years. To honour his commitment and hard-work, the Mike Bowles Book Award was established in 2012. All financial QEST members are eligible to be awarded this award. The award is offered in every ‘odd’ year and presented at QEST’s annual conference – ConQEST. The Mike Bowles Book Award aims to acknowledge and show appreciation for a Queensland Education Science Technician who has made a significant contribution to achieving the objectives of QEST. Documents for the AGM which will be held on Monday, 2nd July 2018 at ConQEST in Gatton are available for members to download and read prior to the AGM. Paper copies will not be provided at the meeting. Documents and Reports can be downloaded from the Members Area (login required to QEST website to access) throughout the week in the leadup to the AGM. Use the various tabs under the AGM2018 heading. Please check the website on Thursday, 28th June 2018 for final documents, reports and information on proxy votes etc.
